BRUSCHETTA, Pronounced “brusketta” Traditional Italian appetizer. Wonderful as an appetizer or served on the side with your soup, salad, or dinner. It’s a fantastic way to use my Italian bread recipe.
Toppings are up to you, but the traditional flavors are garden ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic and olive oil. Other than brushing your bread with olive oil, and piling on your choice of toppings, there really is no recipe.
Slice the bread and brush with olive oil, add fresh garlic, and then everything from fresh diced tomatoes, pepperoni chunks, fresh garlic, a dash of Italian seasoning, and an Italian blend grated cheese. Pop into the oven and when the cheese is all bubbly and browned, it’s done!
